Terms
Terms of use
The basic agreement for using Uky. Short, readable and in line with how the service works.
Last updated: 2026-11-02
The service
Uky helps adults find dating, friendship and activity connections. Core features — browsing, likes, seeing who likes you, matching, messaging, filters, explanations, privacy controls and joining activities — are free and will stay free.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms.
- One personal account per person. Accounts can't be sold, shared or transferred.
- You must not use the service if you have been banned, unless an appeal was successful.
Your account
- Give accurate information, especially your date of birth.
- Keep your password secure and don't reuse it elsewhere.
- You can pause, export or delete your account at any time in the app.
How we treat each other
The community guidelines are part of these terms. In short:
- Consent first, in every context. An activity invitation is never romantic or sexual consent.
- No harassment, hate, threats, stalking or unsolicited explicit content.
- No scams, requests for money, advertising or commercial solicitation.
- No fake profiles, impersonation or automated access (bots, scraping).
- No content involving minors, ever.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you post. You allow us to store and show it to the people you choose, only to run the service. You are responsible for having the right to share it. Public explicit content is not allowed.
Moderation, sanctions and appeals
We review reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. Decisions are logged, explained to you and can be appealed in the app. We don't apply hidden shadow bans.
Fair-use limits
To prevent spam and abuse, published rate limits apply equally to everyone. They are never sold or lifted for payment.
Meeting people
We can't vet everyone you meet. Meet in public places, tell someone you trust (you can use Safe Date sharing), and report anything that feels wrong. In an emergency, call 117 (police) or 112.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the service running but can't guarantee it is always available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of other members. Mandatory legal liability remains unaffected.
Changes and termination
We'll tell you about material changes in advance. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Applicable law
Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. The place of jurisdiction will be specified after legal review.
